Grapevine Communications Founder & President Earns Recognition for Success in the Industry
Sarasota, Florida – March 14, 2016 - Grapevine Communications, the area’s leading full-service advertising, marketing and public relations agency, is proud to announce that President and Founder Angela Massaro-Fain was recognized with the prestigious Silver Medal Award by the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The honor was presented at the ADDY Awards Gala on Saturday, March 12, 2016. Massaro-Fain is one of only five recipients of the Silver Award in over 20 years, and the second woman to receive the mark of distinction.

The AAF is one of the oldest institutions to support and promote creative professionals and managers in the advertising industry across the United States. Established in 1959, the AAF's Silver Medal Award Program recognizes men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and who have been active in furthering the industry's standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.
Each year AAF member clubs bestow this honor upon outstanding members of the local advertising community based on creative ability and the contributions the recipient made to their own company, to the advancement of advertising, to the community and to the AAF.
Massaro-Fain founded Grapevine in 1988 in Montreal, Canada, serving such clients as Brother International, Honeywell, Johnson & Johnson, Playtex Canada and L’Oreal. In 1998, she sold the agency to one of her clients – Intertape Polymer Group (IPG), a leader in the packaging industry – and moved to the company’s U.S. headquarters in Bradenton to head up the new in-house agency. After her three-year contract with IPG was completed, she reformed Grapevine Communications with her husband, John Fain, in 2002.
Based in Lakewood Ranch and with a full-time team of 15 creative professionals, Grapevine Communications has been a regular recipient of advertising accolades. Since 2002, the agency has garnered more than 118 ADDY awards from the AAF for design, creativity and effectiveness – including numerous "Best in Category" AMY Awards.
