TreeUmph! Adventure Course Expands To Pinellas County with Third Location

TreeUmph Adventure Course ManateeTreeUmph! Adventure Course, Southwest Florida’s first treetop obstacle course, is proud to announce plans to expand into Pinellas County following a unanimous vote of approval by the Largo City Commission on July 19, 2016. The new aerial obstacle park will be located at the Highland Recreation Complex in Largo. TreeUmph! Blaze™ in Largo will provide a unique experience with a design adapted to the more urban environment. The grand opening for TreeUmph! Blaze is expected in the fall/winter of 2016. Another TreeUmph! Adventure Course in Hernando County is currently under development.

The TreeUmph! Blaze location is projected to serve more than 45,000 guests in its first year of operation and create up to 25 full- and part-time jobs for Pinellas County residents. “The response to our brand of providing treetop and aerial adventures has been incredible. We have been amazed by the distance some of our guests have traveled to try TreeUmph! for themselves,” said owner Kathy Corr. “We are thrilled to introduce the people of Largo to an outdoor entertainment experience that is both exciting and memorable for all ages.”

TreeUmph! Adventure Course is dedicated to the communities in which they operate, holding quarterly charity events for underprivileged groups. To date, the company has donated over $85,000 toward charities and not-for-profit causes. TreeUmph! also takes pride in protecting and optimizing natural resources while providing a safe, clean and attractive park. Trees are protected using an innovative compression system that safely secures platforms to the trees without damaging them or infringing upon their continued growth and health. The company will partner with Outplay Adventures – the designers and builders of TreeUmph!’s flagship location in Manatee County and their second park in Hernando County. Construction and operation will be consistent with that of the quality and experience at TreeUmph! in Bradenton and will follow ACCT and ANSI standards. The company will hire local businesses to assist with grounds development and construction of the 1,000+/- square-foot welcome center.

The TreeUmph! Blaze location will include 51 individual games and five ZIP lines with a design unique to the existing landscape. Adults and children aged seven and up will make their way along a self-guided tour which gets progressively higher and more challenging. The obstacles include wobbly bridges, hanging nets, bungee swings, ZIP lines and more. Visitors can stop at any time and are always harnessed to a state-of-the-art continuous belay system.
