The Inn at Midtown – situated along Tamiami Trail (Highway 41) across from Sarasota Memorial Hospital – has undergone extensive renovations as the property was rebranded to reflect a boutique experience for guests and visitors to the area. The property, managed by Charter One Hotels & Resorts, Inc., was formerly operated under the Best Western brand.
“We’re excited to reintroduce The Inn at Midtown to the community as a welcoming and comfortable option for overnight guests,” said John W. Balliett, CEO of Charter One Hotels & Resorts, Inc. “With its proximity to shopping, dining, world-renowned beaches and a host of diverse attractions, this location has long served as a popular choice for visitors to the Sarasota area. We look forward to re-positioning the property for continued success in the years to come.”
The Inn at Midtown recently underwent more than $700,000 in renovations, which include LED exterior lighting, new fencing for added privacy, a resurfaced resort-style pool, a repaved parking lot and sweeping updates throughout the lobby, guest rooms and bathrooms. Each room features high-speed Wi-Fi access, a microwave and a mini-fridge, a coffeemaker with complimentary coffee, and a host of comfort-focused amenities. Guests are treated to homemade chocolate chip cookies and bottled water upon arrival, and a complimentary hot breakfast buffet is available daily.
Along with major property renovations, and new management and support services staff, The Inn at Midtown has implemented a new reservation system for the hotel, which simplifies usability and enhances the online booking process.
