Free Service Offered to Cancer Patients by Holcomb-Kreithen Plastic Surgery & MedSpa
Doctors to Provide Radiation Mark Removal

Sarasota, FL – April 29, 2014 – Holcomb - Kreithen Plastic Surgery & MedSpa (Holcomb - Kreithen) is offering complimentary radiation mark removal treatment for cancer patients through New Beginnings: Radiation Mark Removal Program. Holcomb - Kreithen will offer the treatments year-round that will consist of one or more sessions utilizing a special Q-switched, tattoo removal laser. Treatments of this nature are not typically covered by insurance and, according to Holcomb - Kreithen, depending on the number of marks, could incur a significant out of pocket cost. “We have a deep respect for how courageous cancer patients are and this is a way we can help them feel more in control of their journey, without any cost or downtime,” says Dr. J. David Holcomb. “This is a treatment that can provide immediate improvement requiring little to no down time for skin healing.”

Holcomb - Kreithen will join a group of over 150 physicians volunteering their services through this newly-launched national, philanthropic campaign coordinated by the American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, Inc. (ASLMS). The campaign is open to doctors that are ASLMS members with the appropriate equipment and training; the number of participating doctors is growing by the day. Both Dr. Holcomb and Dr. Joshua Kreithen are board certified plastic surgeons and members of ASLMS in good standing. “The ASLMS members include very generous and caring medical professionals, just like Drs. Holcomb and Kreithen, who believe they can make a difference in the lives of cancer patients across the U.S.,” states Jeffrey S. Dover, M.D., FRCPC, Past President of the ASLMS. “We are pleased that Holcomb - Kreithen Plastic Surgery & MedSpa has chosen to participate.”

Patients interested in this very special opportunity should contact Holcomb - Kreithen Plastic Surgery to schedule a consultation. Patients must provide an official letter from their oncologist or radiologist approving the removal of any radiation marks.
