Earned degrees in English, Theatre and Education, followed by a Master’s Degree in Educational Arts • Studied Economics and German at the University of Vienna • Spent nearly three decades teaching Communications, Creative Writing, English and Performance while directing school musicals and character education programs • Recognized multiple times in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers and helped two schools earn National Blue Ribbon Awards • Served 33 years on an institutional review board overseeing human drug studies • Now lends her sharp eye and love of language to Grapevine as a copyeditor • Married since 1967 to a really humorous, highly intelligent former Green Beret, though she jokes that only two of those years have been the best of their lives … and they weren’t consecutive • Proud mother of three daughters, including Grapevine’s own Allison Imre
